BMW of Corpus Christi is seeking an experienced and outgoing receptionist. The receptionist will be the face of the dealership and the first impression of BMW of Corpus Christi. The receptionist must be highly motivated, think quickly, and have the ability to complete tasks and projects with little to no supervision. The receptionist must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be the front face of the dealership.  

Who Your Customers Are and How This Role Delivers Value to Them 

Your external customers are our clients, prospects and business community members. Your internal customers will be Principle Auto associates, our vendors and contractors. You'll provide value by treating all customers with the highest sense of integrity, honesty and respect. You will work directly with the following team members to ensure their success:

  • BMW Corpus Christi General Manager: Our General Manager has a strong attention to detail. The receptionist is the first impression and opportunity to provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls to the corporate office and direct calls to the appropriate department
  • Greeting visitors and employees as they walk into the building
  • Verifying appointments and setting up meeting rooms as needed
  • Scheduling meetings and travel arrangements, preparing presentations and speeches and screening incoming calls, E-mails and correspondence - responding independently when possible.
  • Setting up, managing and monitoring multi-party video conference calls, meetings, etc.
  • Managing incoming calls and correspondence
  • Managing constantly shifting priorities with flexibility and accuracy.
  • Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing related information

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years working as receptionist in a fast paced corporate environment.
  • Experience working a multiline phone system with 2-3 years of experience.
  • Must be able to work under deadlines.
  • Highly proficient computer skills (advanced or higher) needed with Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • High degree of professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential information as well as internal and external, domestic and international telephone calls.
  • Must be able to provide quick turnaround of unanticipated requests.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize workflow to ensure effectiveness and efficiency; manage tight
  • Must have ability to learn new computer systems quickly and embrace new technologies.
  • Exceptional listening skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills exercising discretion and diplomacy in working with others including all levels of management.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment necessary.
  • Ability to maintain performance in high pressure situations.

Physical and Mental Demands:

Works indoors and outdoors and can be exposed to environments of inclement weather, heat, and cold.  Position requires the ability to walk and stand for long periods.  It may be necessary to work overtime (in excess of 40 hours per week) in order to complete assigned tasks or accomplish Company goals.  Requires full range of body motion including walking, climbing, lifting and reaching on a regular basis.  Requires corrected vision and finger dexterity in order to manipulate various computer and office equipment.  Hearing to a normal range is also a requirement in order to maintain open communication via phone and in person.
